to back up and explain: Seishen, Takai, and I all went to a place called "Climb Time" this afternoon to go rock climbing. neither Seishen nor myself had ever gone, and Takai had only been once, but we figured "what the heck... it'll be fun". It was a time of learning for all.
Takai learned that he has to lean back when falling/repelling down so he doesn't get the sudden sensation that he has just been castrated. ( ::snicker:: he learned that the hard way)
*I* learned that 1) I suck at climbing (I kept getting stuck, halfway up the wall. However, I did make it up to the top once) 2)how to tie a slip knot, and 3) past breaks in my wrists make it so that my arms don't support my weight for as long as they should. now, to be clear: I never fell off the wall, once I got a good start, but I did have to get down at the last before my hand just gave out on me. that would have sucked.
