......::THUMP!::
Nov. 5th, 2004 01:00 pmWell... I knew yesterday was going to be weird, but it was actually better than I had feared.
I worked at Suncoast for my first real shift yesterday morning. I got off at one, and ate lunch, then headed over to Waldenbooks. (curse you manga section! Evil temptation!) Then I wasted yet *more* money on a frozen green tea smoothie. yum.
at this point is where I get into the Things I Should Never Do Again.
Smoothie in hand, I head over to the Center an hour early so I can give blood. Note to self: even if you don't mind needles, and giving blood doesn't normally bother you... it is a Bad Idea to go directly to your other job, and start chasing kids around. Especially on a day when you are supposed to stay late that day.
so since I'm tired today, this is the day my kids make me run all over the building. I got home at 7:45-8:ish, read my new manga, and went to bed. Other than a slight moment at 4am, when I was wide awake and stayed up for half an hour, I slept until 11. ugh.
On another note: For some random reason... two of my kids gave me stuffed animals on wednesday. It was kind of funny, watching the other staff try to figure out why I was carrying a purple rabbit around with me all day. The other one I got was a pink bunny, and I only got it as I was leaving. ::eyes both rabbits:: huh.

Date: 2004-11-05 05:07 pm (UTC)So? How did giving blood go? (You have my respect by the way. After I give blood I need at least an hour nap to function as a normal human being again. And YOU ran around and chased kids. Masochist.)
What manga was it? I have b-day gift certificates to spend on manga so if you know any good ones, tell me! XP

Date: 2004-11-05 07:53 pm (UTC)Blood giving went fine. though I couldn't bend my arm for almost 5 hours. signing during chapel was...interesting. I would have *loved* to sleep for an hour, but that was rather impossible. 'Nene' kept wanting to race me, and have me play tag with her a few other kids. As well as some others dissappearing up the steps over and over again. I was dead on my feet.
The manga was From Far Away (Kanata Kara) The main reason I picked it up was because I had read the GW Fusionfic based off of it by Akuma, and I had been intersted in it. another one that looks good is 'W Juliet'....think Hana-Kimi....only backwards. The Wolf's Rain manga is out too... but the art for the wolves makes me mad. their legs are insainly long, and they look like they have manes almost. ugh. I have issues with it.
