[CAUTION: RANT IN PROGRESS]
I don't understand how you can have a good day and a bad day.... all at once.
Before I even made it in the door at work today, I had to break up a fight. Then I was subject to my boss's Inquisition, for something I wasn't really involved in. I passed on the wrong sentance, and it made it's way to the wrong ears, due to a woman I've never met. Now my boss may get into trouble.
After that, I had a pretty good day. My kids got to make masks, get balloons, and we did face painting. We took them outside and they got ice cream, played games, and played on the playground.
It was as we were comming back in that my day (which had just been picking itself up) took an abrupt face plant. My two assistants started bickering in the kitchen, one got upset and told the secritary that the other was insulting her in front of the kitchen ladys. (::whines in a childs voice:: TEACHER! SHE'S PICKING ON ME!!!!) She then *Leaves* for the day, instead of helping out in chapel.
I heard none of this, as I was out *working with my kids*. Like they were both *supposed* to be doing. The first I heard about it, was when they started shouting at each other as the first one leaves. Shouting. In *front* of my kids! ::snarl/growl/bite:: I about tore into them myself just for that! Then the one that was leaving started to tell me about it, as if expecting me to take sides in the matter. I just stared at her, then told one of my boys to come in with me, so I could get him an ice pack for his eye. I know for a fact that if I had spoken to her.... not nice things would come out of my mouth. you wanna know the real kicker? *both* of these "women" are older my *mother*! After the first left, the other came up to me, shook my hand, and said that she was thankful she got to work with me, she had enjoyed it, and she was never comming back.
::blink:: so now I have *no* paid staff to help me *at all*.
My week has *sucked* and one can only drown their sorrows in so much Moutain Dew before you get a stomachache.
I need a hug.
